melder-templates

This repository contains official templates for use with the Melder CLI tool.

Purpose

• Remote Template Source: Serves as the canonical, remote source for Melder templates. The CLI can fetch the latest templates and updates from this repository.
• CLI Packaging: Used for bundling templates with the Melder CLI distribution.

Features

• Templates are stored in the templates/ directory, organized by type (e.g., copilot-instructions.md, mcp.json).
• Each template may include a version identifier for tracking and update purposes.
• Supports both full file templates and partial injection (using comment markers in target files).
• Enables version tracking and drift detection via .melder.json in target repositories.
• Designed for compatibility with the Melder CLI's interactive and batch modes.

Usage

1. Fetching Templates:
   • The Melder CLI can fetch and apply templates from this repository to your project.
2. Template Updates:
   • Keep this repository up to date to ensure users receive the latest standards and configurations.
3. Versioning:
   • Template versions are tracked to enable update checks and drift detection.
